On September 19, 2006 First Lithonia SDA Church embarked on a new journey with their new pastor, D. M. Jones. He brought with him a mission given to him by the Lord, a mission to make evangelism the church's first priority and through this, establish a new congregation in the Lithonia area. Amongst his goals, he plans to establish a feeding minstry along with community service for the Lithonia community; to make a positive impact in promoting and encouraging the development of our children through Christian education and to create a viable media ministry for..."Winning Souls Through Innovative Technology™."
He is encouraging each member and department to become a soul winning arm of the church and to expand on the many gifts they have been blessed with.
Pastor Jones is grateful for the opportunity given to him by the Lord to serve His people as he continues to live by the motto:
They do not come, they must be brought
They do not seek, they must be sought
They do not learn, they must be taught.
